Boldly

Michele Waxman Johnson, CEO of Bold Thought Partners, LLC, is a national consultant and advocate for affordable, transparent, and equitable higher education and scholarship displacement evangelist. She is a thought partner and coach working alongside clients who share her values, serving scholarship providers, college access programs, businesses, and higher education institutions. how Bold Thought Partners can help

Scholarship Displacement

Scholarship displacement hurts students! Michele is a scholarship displacement evangelist, focused on educating scholarship providers, college access programs, students, and school counselors about scholarship displacement; teaching how to advocate via op-eds, media interviews, social media, student stories, presentations, and legislation; and pursuing win-win solutions.

Advocate and Coach

Advocacy is misunderstood in the nonprofit world and is often a missed opportunity for making higher education affordable, transparent, and equitable! Michele is an advocate , advocacy coach, and coalition builder who built an award-winning state advocacy program in Maryland, resulting in a successful 2017 “first in the nation” bill. She now uses the lessons learned to advance the mission of client organizations.

Empowering and Educating Students

Informed students know their options and make wiser choices! Michele is committed to empowering and educating students about the cost of higher education before decisions are made and believes that informed students will have higher rates of completion and less student debt.

I have worked with Michele for many years around shared interests of college access for low-income youth. Her long term commitment to college affordability for disadvantaged groups is genuine and admirable. I am happy to recommend her to anyone seeking to work with or hire a passionate advocate for youth and highly effective leader.
